Meet Dr. Sawyer
Dentist in Columbus
Returning to his hometown of Columbus, GA, Dr. Mason Sawyer, DMD graduated from Shaw High School then attended the University of North Georgia on the Georgia Military Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
He subsequently graduated from the Infantry Officers’ Basic Course at Ft. Benning, GA and served as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle platoon leader in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard while attending Physician Assistant school at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. After Physician Assistant school, he worked in Emergency Medicine and then went into the Regular Army where he served two combat tours in Afghanistan and one combat tour in Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism. During these experiences he decided to become a dentist and attended the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2018. Dr. Sawyer then returned to his hometown of Columbus to join Rivertown Dental Care and continued to serve in the Georgia Army National Guard.
Dr. Sawyer is a member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.
